The follow details are used for wide flange ("W") shapes in standard database tables.

Note: The required first two columns for all standard databases are RecNo and Name.

IX: $= \frac{1}{3} [2 b_{f} {t_{f}}^{3} + (D - 2 t_{f}) {t_{w}}^{3}]$
IY: $= \frac{(D - 2 t_{f}) {t_{w}}^{3}}{12} + [\frac{t_{f} {b_{f}}^{3}}{6}]$
IZ: $= [\frac{b_{f} D^{3}}{12}] - \frac{(b_{f} - t_{w}) {(D - 2 t_{f})}^{3}}{12}$
SY: $= \frac{2 \times IY}{b_{f}}$
SZ: $= \frac{2 \times IZ}{D}$
